Die Indie-Rock-Band My First Earthquake aus San Francisco hat heute einen neus Musikvideo veröf­fent­licht. Ihre Lead-Sängerin Rebecca Bortman schreibt mir: “Your blog is so type-savvy that I thought you would enjoy this typo­gra­phic music video, Vow to Vowels released today by my band. The song is off our first album, Downstairs, and it’s an ode to a cross­word-puzzle lover! The band is actually all desi­gners living San Francisco—designing the day away and rocking the night.”

Das Video wurde von Michael Cobra (Cobra Creative) in nur knapp 48 Stunden auf einem Kinderspielplatz produ­ziert. Rebecca: “It was shot enti­rely on an iPhone with the help of his wife and friends.” Mir gefällt das Video nicht nur, weil es typo­gra­fisch und wunderbar einfach produ­ziert ist: Der Text selbst handelt von Buchstaben und erin­nert an die sympa­thi­sche Sesamstraßenpädagogik.
